I have chosen the following designers as their work is applied and adapted to body adornment but both also work for other contexts such as sculpture and surface. I am keen for my work to be versatile  like this.

Blandine Bardeau makes expressive sculptural forms but also applies her work to the body and refines it to work as more commercial jewellery. I also like the way she uses collage and painting to inform her work, focusing strongly on colour and texture.

Sophie Wallace makes 3D surfaces using traditional hand processes such as macrame and knit, but with unconventional materials such as plastic and resin. This image shows her work in a fashion context but her come of her work is more suggestive and ideas driven.
