Large scale tassels made of silicone tubes, inserted into a rubber ground sheet |
Thinking about
the advice given in my two-tutor critique, I tried increasing the scale of the
tassels, using silicone tubing and larger pvc tubing. I inserted each
tassel into a piece of rubber sheeting as the grounding. The finished
surface is very tactile and I like the idea of it being used for therapy or chill out time at work. I also tried a sample using cut up rubber
sheeting. This sample doesn’t stick upwards the same as the silicone tubes but
is still tactile and fun. Mark suggested I try dying the tubes to add colour,
which is something I am keen to do later on in the project.
