| Thin and long incisions |
This week on the
laser cutter I played around with scale using the PVC coated tarpaulin and
neoprene. I feel I have gained a solid understanding on the variables in cut
widths and lengths and how these affect the movement of the samples.
I also
experimented with scale, testing how small I can cut. I am really pleased with
the sample in the video. The small scale gives the sample a completely
different feel to the larger ones. The movement of it is subtle and fluid. I
will make a bigger sample of this piece in my next session so I can experiment
with it as a surface in different applications.
